La Taqueria in Munich

Somone asked what's the worst Tacos I've ever tried and the answer was clear. The cool looking place near Isator.

I like when they make tacos al pastor. Leckere Tacos. For me, the sauce must be more spicy. The enchiladas if I liked them. Make tamales again please. :)

The taste was not particularly great. It was rather sub-standard for a restaurant claiming to serve „real Mexican food“, althoug still good compared to all the other „Mexican“ restaurant in Munich, or in Germany for that matter. Biggest deduction stems from the tortillas though, which were not properly heated, and soggy within a few minutes. Had to eat all of it with my fingers, the tortillas completely desintegrated. It‘s not La Taqueria‘s fault that it is not allowed to eat the tacos right away due to Covid restrictions, but I am pretty positive that by heating up the tortillas and/or using two tortillas (like they do in Mexico sometimes), the tacos would have at least survived the 5 minute wait. Super dry and tasteless rice on the pollo con mole taco is another big „no go“. All in all rather a 2,5 stars. Had tacos cochinita pibil / carnitas / pollo con mole + 1 quesadillas. 10,50€. But: they have a nice section of Mexican groceries.

Unfortunately a total letdown. I understand that restaurants are having a hard time at the moment, but the portions are really tiny and filled with dry iceberg lettuce. The sauce that was ordered and paid for was forgotten, and the tacos were rickety flatbreads with a dry filling.

Highly Recommended. Have eaten here very often and the taste of the food comes close to that of the food in Mexico. One of the best Mexicans in town and always evokes a feeling of home. Keep up the good work and see you soon!

Disappointed, especially with the price-performance ratio - I've rarely eaten tacos with such a lean filling. Sure, we are in Munich and not in Mexico, but go to Condesa at Münchner Freiheit and you will see that there is another way.

Great food. Personally, I'm not a fan of the wooden cutlery and the paper dishes, but the enchiladas let me overlook them;)

i love it there. its almost the only place that gets u close to mexico. in Germany. too bad the big restaurant is not open anymore. the dishes are well done, just good mexican streetfood. nice bistro athmosphere and just good for a short stopover. and perfect to get some mexican things for ur fridge at home.

Chaotic service and rather low value for money: 1. Served only 2 out of 3 tacos and got one taco wrong 2. Charged €4 more than the actual bill! (1x Chilaquiles and 1x Micheada is €15 not €19 3. Bean sauce is completely liquid when it shouldn't be 4. ~45 mins waiting time for a to-go-order as it was missed entirely (it was a busy time). The restaurant attempted to make up for it with free fried tortillas All in all there is quite some room for improvement

Loved it! Very tasty and authentic Mexican cuisine. The fact that most of the guests were from Latin America speaks for itself. 10/10

Being a mexican away from home I had been craving the real authentic mexican flavors for the whole last year. Luckily I found La Taquería, tastes just like home. Lot’s of veggie option too.👌🏻100% mexican approved.

Real Mexican food in Munich

The only Mexican place in Munich where you can find tamales. The personnel is always kind. They also offer retail products like tajin, cactus, sauces, Mexican chips and candies. They are always open to feedback and try to improve the menu adding new products.

Their new horchata is amazing

Food was cold, low quality and expensive. Don't recommend this place. Reply: are bad reviews not allowed? It did not live up to my expectations (especially seeing the price). Reviews are an excellent way to inform people and have them make their own choices. A struggling business won't get better by digging themselves in and not reflecting on bad service/food.

Tacos enough good for Munich. Just make sure that the tortillas of your tacos are warm enough, the dishes are good cooked. They have a small open space at the back, enjoy it.

Got some fresh Mexican food.. loved it

My family and I did not enjoy our experience here. The food was bland and was not authentic, in my opinion. One of the staff members kept her back to us while we were ordering. This location would be great with a menu upgrade. Reply to owner: I already edited my original review, this is the "moderate" one.

Good food but one cannot trust their opening hours. I wish they would communicate that better.

Nothing good to say about this place - last time we got cold food 40mins late, this time we were told to leave 30mins before closing with a half full restaurant. -- Update/Reply to owner: as I never spoke to you I have no idea how you remember me or how I could have been 'rude'. Regarding food please reply to my primary complaint that cold food and late food is a acceptable practice for a fast food restauran; I don't think this is a big request for a restaurant. Finally regarding your licence; As I never spoke to you I have no idea of your restaurants legal rights of opening - I would simply comment based on your reply that you can still be open *until* 22:00 - if you want to close at 21:30 to make sure you stay within the law then that's fine too but I would recommend you should change your opening times to reflect this. For reference we arrived at 9:15 (a full 45mins before stated clossing time) and the restaurant was emptied and shuttered/locked up by 9:30. What follows I would regard as a disgraceful reply to this review.
